Apple iPad 2 is on the wayMany of you will be waking up this holiday season to a brand new Apple iPad. The iPad is one of the most comprehensive gadgets on the market and if you don’t believe me, just ask an iPad user. There are many uses for the iPad from E Reader, watching movies, playing games, or storing photos. Storing photos on your iPad is easy and fun but deleting pictures from an iPad can be tricky.

I love the iPad because I can do numerous things with it rather than take numerous gadgets when I travel. If there is one downside to the iPad, it is the storage space. Storage space can fill up fast on the iPad. One of the main reasons for this is photos, but removing pictures from your iPad is not easy. Fortunately for you, I am here to help. Just follow these iPad instructions and you will have those pictures off of your iPad in no time, thus opening up room on the hard drive.

The first step is to find the Photos iPad app. Tap it and open the application.

Find “Albums” view and select it and then open the “Saved Photos.” This will take you to all of the pictures you stored on your iPad.

Look for an arrow in the top right corner. Once you find it, tap the button and you will be presented with an option to delete.

Scroll through your pictures, find the ones you want to delete from the iPad, and select them.

Tap on the delete button and poof! Your photos have now been deleted off of your iPad. But wait, you made a mistake? You can still turn back.

To make sure you didn’t make a mistake you will be asked for a confirmation on whether you want to delete the pictures or not. If you are sure you want to delete the pictures, accept the confirmation and you are done.

I really like this because there are plenty of iPad newbies that may be playing around, find the delete option by accident, and tap it by mistake. Granted it is kind of hard to follow through with the entire process without being aware of what you are doing but you never know. Some people can be technically challenged and a lot of new iPad owners don’t have much experience with advanced technology.

Remember, your photos won’t be deleted off of iTunes if you synced them on your computer to iTunes. So if you want to put any back, they will be easy to retrieve from iTunes. At the same time, if you want to permanently delete them go into iTunes and do it there. Keep in mind that if your iPad is set to automatically sync with your iTunes every time you connect it to your computer, the pictures will be downloaded again to the iPad. Make sure you change that option to manually sync to avoid having to repeat the entire deletion process once again.

Apple iPad 2 is on the wayYou may want to wait a few months before buying an iPad. A report surfaced this week that indicated Chinese manufacturer Foxconn is planning to ship the iPad 2 within the next 100 days. Speculation has already begun throughout the blogosphere about the new gadget.

Keep in mind that Apple has not made any kind of formal announcement. I can’t imagine that the folks at Apple are too happy about the news. Anyone with a bit of common sense will likely hold off on that iPad holiday purchase with the news of a new iPad on the horizon. Even with the news, I’d imagine that sales will still continue to boom for Apple and that the gizmo will wind up under millions of trees this season. Savvy shoppers may think differently.

While nobody knows for sure what enhancements will be made to the iPad 2, it isn’t stopping bloggers from guessing. Most iPad blogs agree that the basic core functionality of the iPad will remain intact. If it’s not broke why fix it? The general opinion seems to be that most changes will involve integrating some of the newer features of the iPhone 4 to the iPad 2. Facetime Chat would be the obvious new feature coming over from the iPhone to the tablet. Let’s hope this includes a USB port!

One of the bigger rumors centers on screen size. Gigacom.com speculates that the new iPad will be offered as a 7″ model. The smaller model would cut down on manufacturing costs and bring the price point down. The more economical model would greatly diminish the competition from the Amazon Kindle and Samsung Galaxy, which are both cheaper.

Other rumors range from better mobility to a sleeker and lighter device. Regardless, it should come as no surprise that Apple would speed up their normal schedule and deliver an upgraded iPad. With a lot of competition on the horizon, this will allow Apple to stay one step ahead of its competitors. By the time their competitors are catching up to the iPad 2, the iPad 3 will already be well into production.

Do what you want this holiday season, but don’t be disappointed next month when the gift you have been waiting for all year will now offer a newer, upgraded, and probably cheaper model. Unfortunately that is the gamble you take when buying the new “it” gadget.
